#1 – Viofo A119 v3

Viofo A119v3 dash cam

Lowest price: ~$70

Vendors: Amazon USAliExpresseBay US / AUmore countries & vendors (ad)

Why we like it:

Very reliable Chinese brand. Best video quality for the price.

Wedge-shaped: The rear side sticks directly to your wind screen, with an adhesive sticker.

Comes with a Sony Starvis sensor, for great video quality both day and night. It records at 2K, which is 2560×1440 pixels (also known as 1440p).

This camera supports parking mode (including buffered parking mode). You’ll need a hard-wiring kit for that, which costs about $10 extra.

#2 – 70mai 1S

70mai small cylindrical dash cam

Lowest price: ~$50

Vendors: Amazon USAliExpresseBay US / AUmore countries & vendors (ad)

Why we like it:

Tiny dash cam, without a screen. Very discreet, with a nice cylinder shape.

Since it doesn’t have a screen, you operate the camera over Wi-Fi, with an app. It doesn’t have GPS or parking mode either, so it’s very basic.

Video quality isn’t as good as the Viofo A119v3’s, but it’s quite a bit cheaper, and from a reliable brand.

#3 – Wolfbox G850

Wolfbox G850 rear view mirror dash cam

Lowest price: ~$90

Vendors: Amazon US / CA / UKAliExpresseBay US / AUmore countries & vendors (ad)

Why we like it:

This dash cam clips onto you existing rear view mirror, so it’s really easy to install. The screen is 12″ diagonal, which is huge compared to most  other dash cams. Great for ease of use.

Downside is that the reflections on the rear-view mirror will be darker. This happens with all rear view mirror dash cams, so be aware of that before you decide to order.

If you order a hard-wiring kit with it (about $20 extra), the G850 supports a simple impact-triggered parking mode.

Conclusion

You’ll notice that all the dash cams featured have been around for a while. This is because we wanted to pick the most reliable devices for you. Most new releases are quite a bit more expensive. Plus, you don’t know how long they will last before they’ve been around for at least a number of years.

We hope you find a dash cam here that you like. Safe driving!
