Vantrue N5S 4CH dash cam
Vantrue’s N5S 4-channel (4CH) dash cam was released in 2025, with significant upgrades compared to its predecessor, the Vantrue N5. One important improvement is that the N5S features Starvis 2 sensors across all 4 channels, while the older N5 only uses a Starvis 2 sensor for the front exterior channel. Since Starvis 2 is state-of-the-art in terms of optical sensors, having those sensors on all 4 channels notably improves video quality.
Another novelty is that the N5S supports cloud connectivity. With Vantrue’s LT01 cloud dongle (available separately), you can live stream video to your phone, as well as configure alerts should an incident be detected when the camera runs in parking mode.

One major difference is the increased resolution of the rear exterior channel. All other channels have the same resolution between the two models (1944p front, 2x1080p for the front and rear interior channels).

We can also see that the N5S uses a different mount than the N5, so should you choose to upgrade from the older model, you will need to install a new mount.
Also, the N5S is about 20% more power hungry (3A nominal supply current vs. 2.5A).
