BlackVue DR750X-3CH Video Samples

This is a quick post to give you an idea of the BlackVue DR750X-3CH’s performance in terms of video quality.

The DR750X-3CH Plus was BlackVue’s first three channel dash cam. It was released in 2021. Its 3 cameras record video to the front and rear of the car, as well as inside the passenger cabin.

The interior camera is equipped with 2 infrared LEDs to facilitate recording at night, when the passenger cabin is dark.

While the front and rear cameras record 1080p video, the interior camera only supports 720p resolution.

This camera supports all of the awesome features that the DR750X-2CH Plus does, including cloud connectivity and intelligent parking mode. Since we already covered these features in our DR750X-2CH Plus review, we won’t repeat them all here.

Let’s have a look at the videos that the DR750X-3CH Plus produces:

Front Video Sample, Day

Front video quality is good during the day time. You can read other cars’ license plates if you pause the video feed.

Front Video Sample, Night

At night, front video quality is only average. The footage is generally quite blurry, and it is hard to impossible to make out the license plates of other vehicles.

Rear Video Sample, Day

Rear video quality during the day is fair. It isn’t the sharpest, but you can see what’s going on around you.

Rear Video Sample, Night

Rear video at night is average. There is lots of glare from street lights and the lights of other vehicles. It is not possible to make out other cars’ license plates.

Interior Video Sample, Day

The interior camera’s footage is only fair during the day. The interior of the car is clearly visible, but the footage is a bit blurry around the edges.

Interior Video Sample, Night

Interior video at night is fair, as well. While you can clearly see what’s happening, the footage appears a bit grainy.

Conclusion

While BlackVue do make some world’s best dashboard cameras, the DR750X-3CH Plus is not one of them. It appears that the triple video stream is a bit too much for the DR750X’s processor. Video quality is noticeably inferior compared to BlackVue’s (mostly excellent) 2-channel cameras.
